CMSA kicked off its flagship “My Journey as a West Indian Physician” Speaker Series with a powerhouse opening act: Dr. Rachelle J. Lodescar, MD.
Dr. Lodescar is a Burn & Reconstructive Surgical Critical Care Surgeon, Vice Chair of Student Engagement at Department of Surgery at New York Medical College, and proud West Indian trailblazer. Dr. Lodescar shared her meteoric rise through medicine’s highest echelons. From navigating residency biases to being Stowe-Whitt House Dean, her story lit up screens and inspired everyone.
